There’s no doubt that this year has been a strange one. Who thought on New Year’s eve 2019 that we were heading directly in to a global pandemic? Not us, that’s for sure!
Loved ones have fallen ill, businesses have struggled, jobs have been lost. No one could have imagined what a challenging time we would be confronted with in 2020.
However, in the face of true adversity, life has carried on. Thanks to some brilliant people and that stoic, Great British spirit, we’ve made it through the craziest year there ever was!
We might not be having the big old festive knees up that we’re used to on 25th December. But whilst you are eating your turkey, remember there is still so much to be thankful for this Christmas.
Here at Teddy Edward, we have been overwhelmed by the support we’ve received during this difficult year. It has by no means been easy, but there are so many people we owe thanks to for getting us through it. So, without further ado, here are our stars of 2020:
It goes without saying that the NHS and it’s staff have been the heroes of this year. If we didn’t have this incredible British institution, who knows where some of us might be?
They’ve taken care of our loved ones, saved countless lives, and still done it with a smile on their faces.
Be it doctors, nurses, health care assistants, therapists, porters, cleaners, drivers, admin staff or volunteers, every single person who works for the NHS has put their lives on hold this year. Any they’ve done it to make sure you, your family and your friends can continue to live yours.
We owe NHS workers everything during this pandemic, so we send our thanks, love and Christmas wishes to every single one of them.
All other keyworkers
We can’t forget all the other key workers who have done their part in keeping this country going during 2020.
From supermarket staff and delivery drivers to emergency services and teachers, these selfless people have been instrumental in making sure our country doesn’t grind to a halt.
Being a small business, we rely heavily on numerous keyworkers up and down the country to ensure our luxury clothing cannot only be expertly made but also delivered directly to you.
These people have gone to work when the majority of us have been tucked up in bed, or warm at home in lockdown. They’ve carried on when some simply haven’t felt like it. So we thank them for being a shining light in what for many has been a dark time.
Our suppliers, manufacturers and artisans
As a small fashion brand, we rely on a variety of other businesses when it comes to crafting our products.
So, we wouldn’t have been able to continue bringing you luxury, British-made clothing this year had it not been for the help of our close-knit network of suppliers and manufacturers.
Whether it be the fabrics we are supplied with, the heritage mills or factories where our garments are produced or the skilled artisan workers we employ, we are indebted to some amazing businesses who have ensured we can carry on doing what we do.
We are so thankful that we are able to design and make our limited collections here in Great Britain, and this year has really cemented why we chose to create an entirely British-made brand.
So, thank you to every single business we work with – you are wonderful!
And finally, the biggest thanks of all goes to you - our Teddy Edward family!
Your continued support throughout this year has been incredible, and it’s been really heart-warming to see the love you have for our clothing and accessories.
We are a small business, so it would be no exaggeration to say we would be nothing without our loyal customers. This year has been tough for everybody, but the fact that you’ve chosen to shop with us and wear our British-made clothes with pride fills us with such joy.
To be honest, we really can’t put in to words how much your support means to us. Thank you just doesn’t seem enough. But THANK YOU!
So with that, we wish you a very merry Christmas, and happiness, health and prosperity for the New Year. Let’s hope 2021 is a more positive year all round, and we can look forward to getting back to a sense of normality.
Stay well and stay safe!
Love, the team at Teddy Edward x
